What's new? Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act: this has now received royal assent and starts to come into force as from 25 June 2013. See: recent and proposed employment legislation Statutory rates: the new rates for the National Minimum Wage have been announced. These apply from October 2013. See: key statistics Redundancy consultation: the minimum consultation period that applies where 100 or more redundancies are proposed at one establishment within a 90 day period is reduced to 45 days. Fixed-term contracts that expire at the end of their term no longer need to be included in any collective consultation. See: redundancy Real Time Information: under the new real time information (RTI) scheme, employers are required to report PAYE information to HMRC on or before the date they pay their employees (rather than at the end of the year).
