What's new?
  • The rates for statutory maternity, adoption, paternity pay and sick pay increased as from 6 April 2008. See our key statistics.
  • As from October 2008, women will be entitled to all non-pay benefits during their entire maternity leave period - including contractual holiday entitlement, company cars, health club membership, private medical insurance etc. See maternity Paid up members, or Pay as you go..
  • The new rates for the National MInimum Wage (NMW), effective from October 2008, are now available. See our key statistics. BERR is currently considering the payment of tips through the payroll and listening to representations on whether these should count towards the NMW.
