Workers from Bulgaria and Romania: the Coalition Government has
decided to extend the current restrictions on access to employment for workers
from Bulgaria and Romania until the the last possible date. Under The Accession
(Immigration and Worker Authorisation) (Amendment) Regulations 2011, which
come into force on 30 December 2011, nationals of both countries will only be
allowed to work here in skilled roles or specific areas of labour shortages until 31
December 2013.
