Dave's career began with punch-cards and soldering irons, and over the years has progressed via coal laboratories, trust companies and various software houses (and approximately 15 computer languages). He know more about trust accounting, Chi squared tests, Alpha/Beta pruning and elevator algorithms than he needs to.

Dave was born in Holland, lived in South Africa for a long time and currently lives in Walton on the Naze on the Essex coast. He enjoys reading (mainly 'hard' science fiction), thinking (Group theory, algorithmic composition and 3D lattices) and programming (VRML and Tcl).

Abi's knowledge and experience, developed over twelve years, spans the HR and training and development field, which she has been able to transfer into the academic world by lecturing on CIPD programmes at her local college. Her experience includes managing large scale resourcing and redundancy programmes, implementing flexible working practices, managing change projects, and also managing exit strategies for senior staff.
