What's new?
  • Most of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act Paid up members only. came into force in April 2008. This aims to make it easier to convict companies of manslaughter for work-related deaths and injuries.
  • The Control of Noise at Work Regulations are now extended to cover the music and entertainment sector. See noise Paid up members, or Pay as you go..
  • A recent case (Stevenson v J M Skinner & Co) found that whilst employers must undertake a risk assessment once they are informed that an employee is pregnant, and must record this, they do not have to hand over a copy of the assessment to the employee provided that information about the risks is provided orally to that employee.
